Luzon-wide Media Festival and GAIN (Global Adventist Internet Network) meeting are happening at AIIAS for two days – October 19-20. Rolling on the theme InterACT; Broadcast to Baptism, the big event musters 196 media people – writers, photographers, videographers, radio broadcasters, TV producers, anchors, and reporters; social media users, and all-media enthusiasts from Luzon – and 26 administrators, communication directors, and media staff from institutions of North Philippine Union Conference (NPUC), NPUC, and Southern Asia-Pacific Division (SSD).

Featuring presentations from world church headquarters’ General Conference (GC) associate communication director Sam Neves, the event aims to inspire church leaders and members to continue using varied forms of mass media in evangelism, feature best practices of media ministries in winning souls, showcase outcomes of media ministries in context of total member involvement, and encourage every media ministry to adopt “Broadcast to Baptism” strategy.

Other highlights of the Festival consist of organization of GAIN North Philippines, Adventist Communication Team (ACT), and NPUC NEWS Team, recognition of media ministries in Luzon, conduct of Adventist Mass Media Awards (AMMA), showcase of three-minute conversion story films or Buhay Adventista, media ministry reports, media ministry booths, testimonies, and presentations using state-of-the-art LED.

Aside from GC associate communication director Sam Neves, others comprising the roster of guest presenters include SSD communication director Mamerto Guingguing (Branding: the Seventh-day Adventist Context; Adventist Identity Guidelines/How Design and Visuals Serve the Mission), HOPE Channel Philippines president Jonathan Catolico (HOPE Channel Program Guidelines), SSD Adventist Media director Nelson Paulo (Broadcasting Ethics/Copyright; Adventist Media Direction), GMA Network news producer Lilian Tiburcio (News Reporting), Luzon-based media professionals Macky Caroro and Omel Cruz (Drone Flying Tips), and NPUC treasurer Rabi Velasco and AUP administration assistant for philanthropy and advancement Beth Casel (Donor Interactions to Advance Mission).
